Abstract
A terminal fitting (T) has a rectangular tube () with a base plate () and first and second side plates (L,R) that extend from opposite sides of the base plate (). A ceiling plate () extends from the first side plate (L) towards the second side plate (R), and a recess () is formed at an extending edge of the ceiling plate (). A pressing portion () extends from the second side plate (R) and is accommodated in the recess () for preventing upward displacement of the ceiling plate (). Thus, there is no significant step between the upper surfaces of the ceiling plate () and the pressing portion () and the height of the rectangular tube () can be reduced.
