Abstract

A lens cap of a projector has a front portion covering a lens and a cylindrical side portion. The front portion has an opening to which a prescribed string holding member is attached. The string holding member is formed to have a pair of engaging portions, a string inserting portion, a cover portion and a guide groove. The pair of engaging portions are engaged with the opening formed in the lens cap. A string is inserted through the string inserting portion, and the string is retained as a knot of the string prevents the string from being pulled out. The cover portion covers the opening with the string holding member engaged in the opening. The guide groove is formed on the back side of the cover portion, and guides the string from the back side to the front side of the front portion of the lens cap. Thus, the lens cap can easily be put on the focus ring without any interference with the front panel.
