Abstract

A drum brake () having a rotatably journalled drum () and means for adjusting the torque applied to the drum () has several peripherally-extending take-up slots () for filaments () with the slots being spaced from each other in the direction of the drum axis (X). With such an arrangement, a plurality of filaments can be adjusted to constant filament tensions simultaneously.
