Abstract

Disclosed is a lid-positioning device for a cabinet, comprising an actuating arm () which is fixed to a side wall () of a cabinet carcass () so as to be pivotable around a first axis of actuation () between an open position and a closed position while being fixed to a lid () so as to be pivotable around a second axis of actuation (), a control arm () which is fixed to the side wall () of the cabinet carcass () so as to be pivotable around a first control axis () that is located parallel to the first axis of actuation () while being fixed to the lid () so as to be pivotable around a second control axis () that is located parallel to the second axis of actuation (). In order to be able to displace the lid () in a parallel manner or swivel said lid () above the cabinet carcass (), the lid () being held in any random position, actuating means () impinge the actuation arm () with a specific force across at least a first part of the swiveling path thereof, said force being selected in every position such that the lid () can be held in any random position.
