Abstract
According to one embodiment, a passive infrared sensorincludes an infrared sensing elementa pair of lensesR andL, and main mirrorsR andL. A submirrorR is disposed on the main mirrorR. The submirrorR is configured so that, with respect to the main mirrorR, the orientation of the submirrorR is changed by a first predetermined angle in regard to the horizontal direction in a direction away from an attachment surfaceat the installation time, and the orientation of the submirrorR is changed by a second predetermined angle in regard to the vertical direction in a direction downward at the installation time. A submirrorL is disposed on the main mirrorL. The submirrorL is configured so that, with respect to the main mirrorL, the orientation of the submirrorL is changed by a first predetermined angle in regard to the horizontal direction in a direction away from the attachment surfaceat the installation time, and the orientation of the submirrorL is changed by a second predetermined angle in regard to the vertical direction in a direction downward at the installation time.
