Abstract
A method for transferring IP data comprising payload and header fields in a telecommunications system, the method comprising compression and decompression of the header fields of the IP packets. At least two logical connections are allocated for the transfer of header fields compressed on the basis of different contexts. Said header fields compressed on the basis of different contexts are transferred on separate logical connections.
