Abstract

The invention relates to a needle-less injection device, comprising a cannula () which can be inserted in a housing (), can be filled with a predetermined active substance () for injection, and comprises a piston () movable in a cannula housing for ejecting the active substance () from an outlet opening () in the cannula housing, and a propellant charge cartridge () insertable into the housing () and comprising a housing containing a propellant charge () and a device () for igniting the propellant charge, and a propelling surface () movable in a part () of the housing of the injection device () or in the housing of the cannula () or in the cartridge housing and movable by the gas pressure, after ignition of the propellant charge (), out of a starting position into an end position, the outer periphery of the propelling surface being sealed from the inner periphery of each housing during the entire displacement travel also, wherein the propelling surface () acts upon the piston () movable in the cannula housing.
