A tirehaving a colored pattern veneered surfaceformed by one or more layersof distinct colors applied to the outer surface of the tireon the sidewalland possibly the treadis disclosed as well as the method of manufacturing the tire. The colored pattern veneer can be used to make a camouflage tire among other patterns.
