Abstract
The present invention provides a tray for frozen food enabling frozen food such as frozen sushi on the tray to be suitably thawed and to provide a frozen food package or a frozen sushi package using this tray, and a method of thawing frozen sushi in this package. The tray for frozen foodcomprises a base, concavitiescaved in the base, a surrounding wallstanding from the periphery of the base, a flangecomposing the top end of the surrounding wall, a downward flapextending downwardly from the outer peripheral edge of the flange, an overhanging portionoverhanging outward from the lower edge of the downward flap, ribsformed at corners between the baseand the surrounding wall, and bulgesstanding from the base. The trayis composed of a bodymade of a synthetic resin and a dielectric material layerformed on the outer surface of the body. Frozen sushiis disposed such that the shari ballis entirely or mostly positioned within the concavityand the netais entirely positioned above the level of the base. The frozen sushi is thawed in such a manner that the shari ballis thawed with heat transmitted from the dielectric material layerby heating the frozen food package by a microwave oven and the netais thawed with heat transmitted from the shari ballafter stopping heating the package in the microwave oven.
