Abstract
At the time for forming an internal gear from a raw materialof an internal gear, first, the raw materialis externally inserted onto a forming dieand fixed to the forming diethrough a pressing die. Next, a forming rollis moved in a direction as indicated by an arrow B of FIG.while rotating the forming die. By this, the inner peripheral surface of the raw materialis pressed against an outer gear partformed on the outer peripheral surface of the forming dieso that an internal gear partis formed on the inner peripheral surface of the raw material. The rotating direction of the forming dieis selected such that the first end part of the outer gear partlocated on the front side in the feeding direction of the forming rollis moved ahead in the rotating direction (the direction as indicated by an arrow A of FIG.) of the second end part located on the rear side in the feeding direction of the forming roll
