Abstract

In a medical guide wire, a rear half of a leading bulge portion (ellipsoidal helical spring)forms a truncated cone shaped front catheter engagement portion. An inner wall of a balloon catheterforms a flared end portionA which absorbably fits into the front catheter engagement portiondue to the physical adhesion so to provisionally connect the balloon catheterto the front catheter engagement portion. The medical guide wireand the balloon catheterare inserted into the blood vessel with one single step procedure when the medical guide wireis introduced into the blood vessel to place the balloon portionat the stricture blood vessel area (P).
