Abstract
A method for producing a multilayer data carrier () having a surface structure () embossed at least in certain areas on one side. In the method, a first multilayer semifinished product () is first produced into which the surface structure () is embossed. The semifinished product () is then connected with a second multilayer semifinished product () or a further layer () with interposition of an adhesive layer (). Furthermore, a corresponding manufacturing plant is described.
