A vehicular alternatoris disclosed as having a statoron which an armature windingis wound, a rotorrotatably disposed in the stator, cooling fansfor creating cooling winds during rotation of the rotor, a front housingand a rear housingwith which the stator and the rotor are supported and having side areas formed with cooling wind discharge windowsand a waterproof coverlocated over an outer peripheral sides of the housings. The waterproof coverhas a plurality of ventilation aperturesformed at an inclined angle different from an inclined angle at which the cooling wind discharge windows are formed.
