A device () for treating a packaging material () by means of UV radiation, the device having a source () of such radiation, and a protective screen () interposed between the source () and the material () for treatment; the screen () has a film () of a polymer resistant and permeable to UV radiation, and which is flexible, does not tear, and does not form fragments.
