Abstract
The present invention relates to a process for producing titanium dioxide pigment, which comprises a step of coating hydrolysis product of an alkylsilane compound represented by the following formula (1): (where R is an alkyl group having 5 or less carbon atoms, R' is a hydrolyzable group, and n is an integer of 1 to 3, m is an integer of 0 to 2, and n+m≦3) by dry processing on surfaces of particles of titanium dioxide pigment. The present invention provides titanium dioxide pigment with distinguished hydrophobic property, dispersibility, and heat resistance.
