Abstract
A bipolar tubular shaft instrument () has instrument legs () and (), for the operation of which a pull- and/or push rod () is axially displaceable within a tube (). These two parts are insulated relative to one another and are connected to current terminals () and (). For electrically connecting the push rod, a plug pin () is provided which is displaceable relative to an opposing contact () and engaged therewith. The plug pin () is arranged on the push rod () neighboring the connecting joint () with the actuating handle () in generally in a direction of orientation and movement. Thus the contact remains in existence in spite of the movement, and is present in each case upon the instrument legs being closed.
