Abstract

The technique of the invention relieves the requirement of repeated positioning to a wireless communicable range in the process of data transmission to and from each of multiple cartridges by wireless communication. A carriagewith multiple ink cartridgesthroughmounted thereon is stopped at a position Pwhich is away a distance Dfrom an antennaand is conveyed from the position Pat a preset velocity V. With the movement of the carriagedetection storage modulesthroughmounted on the ink cartridgesthroughsequentially approach to the antennaand establish communication with a control circuitof a printer via the antennaof a receiver transmitter unitThis arrangement enables data transmission between the control circuitand each of the detection storage modulesthroughwithout repeatedly stopping the carriage
