Abstract
A moving plate () is movable between a retained position and a released position in a receptacle () of a male housing (). One receiving portion () is provided in a middle part of the front surface of the moving plate (), and a resiliently deformable latch () projects from the back surface of the receptacle () so that the leading end of the latch () is engageable with the receiving portion () through an insertion hole () of the moving plate (). Movement of the moving plate () from the retained position to the released position is prevented by the resilient engagement of the latch () and the receiving portion (). At the start of the connection of two housings (), a releasing portion () on the front surface of a female housing () contacts the latch () to disengage the latch () from the receiving portion ().
