The aim of the invention is to prevent or reduce the generation of noise in drives of the belts. Only the surface or a portion of the surface, preferably the motion-transferring part of the surface, pertaining to the driving belt is provided with a flocking material consisting of short aramide fibers (). A portion of said aramide fibers () is integrated into the surface only with a partial length of each individual fiber.
