Compounds of formula I: wherein Ris hydroxy or NHSORwherein Ris (C)alkyl, (C)cycloalkyl or {(C)alkyl-(C)cycloalkyl}, which are all optionally substituted from 1 to 3 times with halo, cyano, nitro, O(C)alkyl, amido, amino or phenyl, or Ris Cor Caryl which is optionally substituted from 1 to 3 times with halo, cyano, nitro, (C)alkyl, O(C)alkyl, amido, amino or phenyl; Ris (C)cycloalkyl and Ris cyclopentyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, useful as inhibitors of the HCV NS3 protease.
