Abstract
A hearing aid anchoring fixture () for anchoring a direct bone conduction hearing aid () to the skull bone (), comprising a threaded portion () that has at least one cutting edge (). Each cutting edge () has an adjacent cavity () having a volume V. The threaded portion () has a thread depth dbeing half of the difference between the maximum outer diameter dof the threaded portion () and the inner diameter dof the thread, where dis at least 10% of the maximum outer diameter dof the threaded portion () and where dis less than 20% of the maximum outer diameter dof the threaded portion ().
