Abstract

A spark plug is disclosed. The spark plug has a ceramic insulator body and a center electrode that is housed at least partially in a bore in the insulator body. The center electrode is sealed off from the insulator body by at least one sealing ring surrounding the center electrode that contains material that is plastically deformable by compression.
