Abstract

A gas bag module includes a gas generator (), a gas bag () in flow connection with the gas generator, and a module covering. The module covering covers the gas bag and has a separate central part () after opening of the module covering. The gas bag module further has a holding device () for the central part. The holding device has guide means () which on inflation of the gas bag () permit a displacement of the central part () and delimit a displacement of the central part ().
