Abstract
In a surface acoustic wave element according to an embodiment of this invention, raised electrodesformed on thin film electrodesare provided with throughholes. Additionally, bumpsarranged on the raised electrodesreach the thin film electrodeby going through an oxide filmof the thin film electrodesafter part of the bumps enters the throughholesof the raised electrodes. By doing this, conduction is achieved between the thin film electrodesand the bumpsformed on a piezoelectric monocrystal substrate. Thus, a solid oxide filmis formed on the surface of the thin film electrodesformed from monocrystal aluminum, but part of the bumpswhich enters the throughholesof the raised electrodesgoes through this oxide film, so conduction between the thin film electrodeand the bumpis achieved with higher accuracy.
