Abstract
A connector () is connected to the front end of a cable () in a compact connection that provides electrical shielding and a water-tight seal. The connector has a metal main sleeve () with a rear end () having circular crimps (). One crimp () is made against the cable insulator () to provide a water-tight seal and the other () is made to the cable shielding braid () to ground the main sleeve. The main sleeve has a front portion with a crimp () that crimps against an elastic seal ring () lying in a groove () in an insulative body () that has contact-holding passages ().
