Abstract
An electrical connector () includes a housing () having a mating portion () defining a mating direction, contacts () received in the mating portion of the housing, and a post member () disposed beside the mating portion. The post member includes a fixed portion (), a movable portion (), and an elastic portion () linking the fixed portion and the movable portion. The fixed portion and the movable portion define a first engaging state where the movable portion being immovable along the mating direction and a second engaging state where the movable portion being free to move along the mating direction. The movable portion has an actuating portion () for receiving a force to drive the movable portion to move from the first engaging state to the second engaging state along a direction substantially perpendicular to the mating direction.
