Abstract
A mobile communication device has a full function keyboard constructed in two positions wherein the first portion may be pivoted and the second portion may be moved linearly sideways between respective open and closed positions one in which the keyboard is hidden and the keypad of the device is exposed for normal use and a second in which a larger viewing area of the display screen is revealed and the two portions of the keyboard are positioned on opposite sides of the screen of the device.
