Abstract
An improved arrangement for operating a contact roller () and an associated method, characterized inter alia by the following features: a linear motor drive () is allocated to the contact roller () in order to change positon; a force adjustment device () is provided for the linear motor drive (); a suitable sensor is also provied in order to determine speed or acceleration.
