Abstract
Battery packmay include rechargeable batteryand remaining capacity indicating circuitfor indicating the remaining capacity of the battery. Remaining capacity indicating circuitmay be coupled to the batteryvia first switch SW. When first switch SWis turned ON, a current flows from batteryto remaining capacity indicating circuit. When the first switch SWis turned OFF, the current flowing from batteryto remaining capacity indicating circuitis turned OFF. The first switch SWmay be coupled to first voltage detecting circuit (R, R) for detecting the voltage of battery. When the voltage that is being detected of batteryfalls below a first predetermined value, first switch SWis turned off. Battery packmay further include cut-off circuit (SW, R, R) that cuts off the flow of current from batteryto first voltage detecting circuit (R, R) when first switch SWhas been turned OFF.
