Abstract

Sealing socket () and method for arranging a sealing socket to a tube (). A sealing socket () includes a sleeve () having an outer dimension somewhat larger than the tube () to be sealed, defining an annular compartment () between the tube () and the sleeve (), in which a gasket () is introduced. The gasket material is pressurised by a ring () which is permanently connected by welding () to the sleeve ().
