Abstract

An electrooptic device includes a first substrate, wiringprovided along one side of the first substrateto extend to another side crossing the one side, and a coating layercoating the wiring. Conceivable examples of the electrooptic device include a liquid crystal device, and an EL device. In the liquid crystal device, the coating layercan be formed by a sealing material for bonding together the first substrateand a second substrateopposed to each other. The wiringis coated with the coating layerto be cut off from contact with the outside air.
