Abstract
A vehicle fuel intake system () includes an intake manifold (), an injector pack assembly () and an air cleaner assembly (). The injector pack assembly () includes an encapsulated lead frame () that provides electrical communication to fuel injectors (). The intake manifold defines a fuel rail () and a cavity (). Fuel vapors permeating from the fuel rail () are trapped in the cavity () and channeled back into the air intake passages (). The air cleaner assembly () includes a filter () for absorbing fuel vapor emissions from unburned fuel escaping a non-operating engine (). An actuator () moves the filter () between an open and closed position. Once the engine begins operation, the actuator () opens the filter () to allow unrestricted airflow through the intake manifold ().
