Abstract
The lubrication between a shoe and a shoe pocket is improved without having to perform a complicated forming process. In a swash plate compressor comprising a swash plate locked to a drive shaft, which rotates together with the drive shaft, a shoethat slidably contacts the swash plate, a pistonslidably disposed within a bore defining a compression space and a shoe pocketthat is formed as an integrated part of the pistonand slidably fits with the shoe, a beveled portionis formed at an edge of an opening at the shoe pocket. A recessed portionof the shoe pocketis formed so as to achieve a constant curvature, whereas a projecting portionof the shoeis formed so as to achieve at least two different curvatures. The shoe pocket is designed so that a tangent pointof the recessed portionand the beveled portionis set within a strip rangeover which the projecting portionand the recessed portionachieve contact with each other.
