Abstract
The present invention relates to a process for preparing highly pure tris-ortho-metallated organoiridium compounds and such pure organometallic compounds, especially compounds of the dmetals, which may find use as coloring components in the near future, as active components (=functional materials) in a series of different types of application which can be classed within the electronic industry in the broadest sense.
