Abstract

The invention described herein is a phenolic having a structure represented by formula (I): wherein n is an integer of 20 to 200, Ris an unsaturated hydrocarbon chain, and Ris selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom and —OCHCHO(CHCHO)CHCHOH. Also described are methods of preparing the compound, pigment dispersions containing the compound, ink and paint compositions containing the compound and methods related thereto.
