Abstract
A carbon material for producing endohedral metallofullerenes in a high yield is made of a mixture of a metal or metal compound with a carbonaceous material and is used in producing a endohedral metallofullerenes, wherein said carbon material contains a metal carbide and a bulk density of said carbon material is set to 1.80 g/cmor less.
