Abstract
A combined oil ringis comprised of an oil ringhaving upper and lower railsand, and an expanderfor applying contact pressure radially outwards on the oil ring. The outer circumferential surfaceof the upper railof the oil ringis comprised of a flat surfacewith an axial width of 0.05 to 0.3 millimeters, a curved surfacejoining to the upper end of the flat surfaceand to the upper surfaceof the upper rail, and a curved surfacejoining to the lower end of the flat surfaceand to the lower surfaceof the upper rail. The lower railis formed in the same way.
