Abstract
The present invention relates to a gas storage power station () having a turbine group () and a compressor group (). The turbine group () has at least one turbine () and a generator (). During normal operation of the turbine group (), the generator () emits power directly to a main load (). The compressor group () has at least one compressor () and one electric motor (). The gas storage power station () furthermore has a power consumption device (), which can be activated in order to consume turbine and/or generator power.
