Abstract
A method () includes the steps of placing an insert () into a mold cavity (), molding an insulating layer () of a homogeneous and continuous composition () over the insert (). The next step includes placing the insert () with the insulating layer () into a second mold cavity () followed by the step of molding the part () of a homogeneous part composition () over the insert (). The insulating layer () is disposed between the insert () and the part () and bonded thereto. The method () includes painting the part () wherein a paint () is injected into the second mold cavity () over the part composition (). Flexible properties of the insulating layer () adapt to the differences between coefficient of thermal expansion of the part () and the insert () thereby eliminating problems of potential cracks, sink-marks, and the like.
