The present invention relates to 5-aminomethylpyrazolo[4,3-d]pyrimidines of the general formula (I) in which the radicals Rto Rhave the meaning indicated in the text. The compounds show phosphodiesterase V inhibition and can be employed for the treatment of conditions of the cardiovascular system and for the treatment of potency disorders.
