Abstract
A door system () used in connection with an opening defined by a pair of jambs () and a laterally extending header () connecting the jambs, the door system including, a pair of tracks () mountable on the jambs, the tracks having a vertical track section () running adjacent the jambs, wherein a space () is defined between the tracks and the jambs along at least a portion of their length, a door (D) mounted for movement on the tracks and movable between an open position and a closed position, and a shield () mounted laterally outward of the tracks and adjacent thereto, the shield extending rearward from the jamb and overlying at least a portion of the tracks along the length of the vertical track section, wherein the overlying portion of the shield contacts the vertical track section along the length thereof.
