Abstract

Upon fitting a female housing () into a receptacle () of a male housing (), metallic lock portions () are hidden behind receiving portions () when viewed from the front side of the receptacle () at an initial stage. When the lock portions () move over the receiving portions () while being resiliently deformed as this fitting operation progresses, the lock portions () are engaged with the receiving portions () and can be visually confirmed from the front side of the receptacle (). Thus, the properly connected state of the two housings () can be detected by visually confirming the lock portions () from the front side of the receptacle ().
