Abstract
The so-called comb-type labyrinth sealing device (S) is disposed in a gap between a rotor blade (), i.e. a rotating member, and a labyrinth packing (), i.e. a stationary member. The sealing device (S) has a plurality of sealing fins (F, F) arranged on the opposite sides of the gap opposite to each other. The sealing fins are axially spaced apart at unequal pitches, and hence a possibility that some of the clearances between the opposite sealing fins (F, F) decrease when a casing holding the labyrinth packing () and a rotor () are axially displaced relative to each other due to the difference in thermal expansion between the rotator and the casing increases.
