Abstract
A secure electronic watermark inserter. A picture analyzeranalyzes an input picture, and decides the insertion strength of the electronic water marking to be inserted, from one pixel of the input pictureto another, to output the insertion strength informationto an electronic watermark pattern inserterand to a shifting information pattern inserter. The electronic watermark pattern inserterinserts an electronic watermark pattern, stored in an electronic watermark pattern storage unit, into the input picture. The key information pattern inserterinserts the key information pattern, stored in the key information pattern storage unit, into a picture to be processed, having the inserted electronic watermark pattern, in accordance with the insertion strength information, to output the resulting picture.
