Abstract
A communication-capable electronic device is provided which includes a metallic housing () to accommodate electronic parts of the device, and a communication terminal () that makes communications with a communication-cable IC card () incorporating an antenna (). The communication antenna () is located such that when the IC card is placed near the housing (), the antenna () built in the IC card () faces, at a part thereof, a part of the communication terminal () while the rest of the antenna () of the IC Card () does not face the housing (). Thus, it is possible to prevent the inductance in the antenna () of the IC card () from being reduced.
