Abstract

The invention concerns an architecture of a terminal () allowing communications between a smart card () and a web server (), via an internet network (RI). The terminal () is equipped with a secure enclosure () comprising a smart card reader (), a keyboard (), and optionally, other computing resources (). The non-secure part of the terminal () comprises a web browser () and a first communication node () that routes the requests received to the browser () or to the secure enclosure (). The secure enclosure () comprises a second communication node () and an HTTP server (). The smart card () comprises a third communication node () and an HTTP server (). The web server () comprises a merchant application () that can be placed in communication with the smart card () and activate software applications (A–A) of the latter.
