An apparatus including a processorcoupled to a memoryresides in a location call filtering centerand cooperates with a gateway mobile location centerand a mobile switching centerto process a communication signal, based on the geographical location of a communication device, such as a mobile telephone. The processoraccesses a user location filter databasestored in the memorywhich contains a set of subscriber conditions/preferences that may be used to identify a processing operation to be performed on the call.
