Abstract
The invention relates to NEP inhibitors for treating cardiovascular disorders. Preferred NEP inhibitors are compounds of formula (I) wherein Ris C–Calkyl, C–CalkoxyC–Calkyl or C–CalkoxyC–CalkoxyC–Calkyl; Ris hydrogen or C–Calkyl; L is a three atom linkage selected from —CH—X—CH— and —CH—CH—X— where the right hand side of the linkage is attached to Rand where X is oxygen, sulfur or methylene; Ris phenyl or aromatic heterocyclyl, either of which may be independently substituted by one or more groups selected from: C–Calkyl, halo, haloC–Calkyl, C–Calkoxy, haloC–Calkoxy, C–Calkylthio, haloC–Calkylthio and nitrile; and Rand Rare either both hydrogen, or one of Rand Ris hydrogen and the other is a biolabile ester-forming group that in the body of a patient is replaced by hydrogen.
