Abstract

The invention relates to a method for measuring mechanical stresses of a rotating part () in an essentially closed metal housing. The rotating part comprises a sensor () which reflects electromagnetic waves and which can be measurably deformed as a result of a mechanical stress exerted on said rotating part () The two antennas (A, A) receiving the reflected signals of the sensor () are arranged in the bearing housing () in such a way that they cannot rotate in relation to the sensor and are distanced (α). Said antennas emit receiving signals (a,a) which are sent to an electronic evaluation system () which measures the mechanical stresses of the rotating part () on the basis of both receiving signals (a,a).
