Abstract
EMI noise in a system using a power converter with switching control is reduced in a simple configuration. The power converterincludes a converter, a smoothing capacitor, and an inverter, and receives the power from an AC power supplyvia an AC reactorand converts it into a power of an optional frequency and voltage to supply to a motor. Damping impedance elementsare inserted between the frame of the motorand the ground, between the cooling finof the power converterand the ground, and between the AC reactorand the ground, respectively. Further, paths between the AC reactorand ground, between the power converterand ground, and between the motorand groundare insulated except that the damping impedance elementsare inserted.
